Other Information : The family chapel of the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava is a short distance to the west of Clandeboye House in the townland of Ballyleidy, and about 600 yards south of the Belfast-Bangor dual carriageway Also on the estate and in the townland of Ballyvarnet, about I mile to the south-east, lies "Campo Santo" the family burial ground together with the Blackwood mausoleum Both the chapel and the burial places have been described in the introduction and all stones have been copied. There is a bronze commemoration plaque on marble secured to the south wall of the chapel with the family arms It reads "This chapel of Clandeboye was dedicated to the service of God on the first of January 1898 by the Right Reverend Dr Welland, Lord Bishop of Down, assisted by the Very Reverend Dr Maguire, Dean of Down and Rector of Bangor The dedication service was followed by the baptism of the Honourable Moira Violet Maria Plunket, grand-daughter of the Marquess of Dufferin and Ava".
